Why the numbers differ
- NEA reports the raw 1-hour PM2.5 concentration in µg/m³ with four bands (Normal/Elevated/High/Very High).
- aqicn.org takes NEA's readings and converts them to the US EPA AQI (0–500) using a weighted 12-hour "NowCast", so the number and category names differ.
- Both describe the same air; use NEA's bands for official Singapore advisories and the US AQI to compare with other countries or apps.
